Herdade dos Grous / Quinta do Valbom
Plains as far as the eye can see. One dam. Single storey houses that dot the landscape in white. Cork oaks and olive trees that stand the test of time. A land that sets the pace for the days.
The Herdade dos Grous, in Albernôa, Beja, in the Baixo Alentejo region, gained prominence due to its wines, where the Trincadeira and Aragonês varieties lend a body to the nectars, its regional cattle breeding, trophy winning horses and horse jumping event winners, and its olive oil that seasons dishes of Alentejo cuisine.
