The 20 times he received the coveted Five Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS), which award success stories in the luxury segment, speaks for the cuisine excellence of Karlheinz Hauser (Baden, 1967). In the spring of 2002, the German chef accepted the invitation to join Süllberg, in Hamburg, and has, since then, given it a new splendour, a feat that earned him 2 Michelin stars.
For the last eight years, the chef cooks live, every Monday, on the ARD Buffet programme. And, for the last two years, he also served as judge on the popular cooking show The Kitchen Battle. He is a frequent guest of talk-shows and is featured in different TV documentaries. In December 2011, the NDR Nord report, “Star chef at the Christmas rush”, had record-breaking audiences.
